The 324X-A muffler set

The muffler add-on helps to reduce noice production with about 5 to 8 dB(A). In many engines it provides a power boost of 200 rpm by increasing the back pressure.

Assembly guideline:
Needed:
sandpaper, coarse file, silicone glue (RTV etc.)

Clean all parts well using dishwasher detergent. Water should leave a film on the surface which does not break.
The stinger tube must be glued in position with about 2/3 of it's length inside the damper body. Fix it inside the damper with a dab of glue between stinger tube a and damper wall. Seal around the stinger exit with a bead of glue. Leave it to set.
The outer end of the original muffler must have the black powder coat removed. This can be done with a coarse file. Remove just the paint, and take care to leave a rough aluminium surface to which the glue will adhere well.
Sand the damper inside flange to roughen up the surface. Do not touch glue surfaces with anything else but sandpaper.
Apply a thin, even coat of silicone glue to both the flange and the cleaned muffler end. Now is the time to determine the position of the stinger tube in relation to the muffler body. In the fitted engine, oil remaining in the muffler should be able to flow out. To this end, the stinger must be at the lowest possible position.
With a slightly twisting motion, fit the damper to the muffler such that the stinger ends up in the desired position.
With some tissue paper, clean off excess glue, and let the glue set for at least 48 hours. It takes long for the silicone to harden well, so be patient.

Enjoy the quit power that your engine now is capable of. The sharp high pitched and whining note from the original muffler is completely canceled out whilst overall noise levels are greatly reduced.
