MVVS is an acronym for:
| Modelarske | Modelling |
|
Vyskumne |
Research |
| Vyvojeve | Development |
| Stredisko | Center |
MVVS was created during communist rule to provide a research opportunity and
to keep up with model airplane engine development in the "capitalist" countries.
MVVS has been producing high power model engines since 1952. These engines
powered many winners in world-wide competitions e.g. in the F2A, F2C, F3D categories.
Every engine is delivered with an instruction sheet and exploded view of all
spare parts. The manufacturer of the engines provides a complete after-sale
service and two years warranty on faulty materials. (three years or 1000 starts
on gas engines)
Well manufactured, the glow engines use the ABC piston-liner system, two ball
bearings, a twin needle carburetor with needle valve and idle needle. Every
engine is delivered with instructions in English. Engines are delivered in
the configuration GFS, that is with the exhaust on the right-hand side. The
design of the engine allows for either side or rear exhaust; this is changed
simply by turning the cylinder; eight screws to undo! However, the choice must
be made before the very first start of the engine.
Unless otherwise stated, MVVS Engines are delivered without muffler, to provide
the customer the option to choose.
If you need lower RPM operation, check out the larger engines of 8cc and upward.
These engines are designed with low RPM operation in mind, to help you keep
flight noise down and save flight sites. It is not easy to design low-speed
glow engines. The MVVS top notch Control-Line experience pays off here.
